about
The song is about Hallie's mother’s life long mental health struggle, one that she wasn’t really confronted with until a few years ago, but has drastically changed her life.
This collaboration was about taking the song and developing the sonic mood using synths, guitar, production and mixing. What emerged was a dream pop sad banger with retro vibes.
Hallie Gronquist left Nova Human towards the end of 2019 to start her solo project, WannaBianca with guitarist Kyle McKinney and drummer Karl Eicher. She's a vocalist and bass player.
