about
The realization of "Silver and Rust" on this recording is a tribute to all of those musicians of the mid-20th century who, with great zeal, devoted themselves to electronic music in an effort to manifest the musically "impossible". It is also a loving critique of its own project brief: how can a piece be "impossible" if you reproduce it perfectly each time you play the track? Finally, many people who encounter contemporary music of this piece's general aesthetic bent find it "impossible." In this sense, the bulk of my compositional output could exist happily on a compilation titled Impossible Musics.
